As this is my first blog, I do apologise if this entry seems unorganized. In my defense, I am writing this at 00:14, and I am completely new to this.
That's all, folks! I've finally completed my first year at Western.
I can't help but think, like high school, that these four years will completely pass me by if I don't remember to stay in the moment.
Enough about that; let's focus on the now.
For a first year average, I'm rather pleased to say I finished with a 77.8% average, or a 3.3 gpa. While, yes, it is an embarrasing 18% lower than my high school average, I'll take what victories I can get at this point. After all, it seems that I need to work thrice as hard to stay a half-pace away from my peers.
As for the courses, I found them rather enjoyable save for chemical energetics (Chem 1302) and Linear algebra (Math 1600). Knock on wood, my astonishing grade of 64% in linear algebra will be the lowest grade I recieve at this university.
As for pathways, I'm currently looking at a different trajectory where I double major in Immunology and Medical Bioinformatics. I've always expressed an interest in immunology, but bioinformatics seems quite interesting as it need not be explained that I am interested in computer science. Of course, I have not step foot in either of those classrooms, so I will have to wait until the next academic year in order to determine whether or not I actually enjoy the two.
Thanks for stopping by.
